PLEASANT HILL

The farmers are getting busy
in this section starting their farm
work.
I visited in the Bunn Level sec
tion last week and they are far
ahead of us in the farm work,
with field after field ready to run
rows.
We are sorry Mrs. Maynard
Puryear of Youngsville is in Duke
Hospital for treatment.
Mrs. A. O. Puryear is still un
der the doctor’s care. We hope
they will soon be well.
Mr. and Mrs. Price of Godwin
and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Carter of
Raleigh were dinner guests at
Mr. J. B. Carter’s Sunday.
Other Visitors
Hr. and Mrs. John Moddu of
Rolesville are spending some time
with their granddaughter, Mrs. A.
O. Puryear.
The women are doing lots of
quilting in this section.
Mr. Walter Gay is making good
building a new dwelling house. It
looks to be almost complete.
Mrs. Eureka Joyner of Raleigh
spent the weekend with relatives.
Mrs. Maynard Puryear of
Youngsville was honored with a
shower last Wednesday evening at
Hephzibah community center.
Around 50 were present and she
received a lot of nice gifts.
Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Gay of
Raleigh spent Sunday with their
mother, Mrs. E. W. Hood.
