Page Two Lizard Lick The meeting at Hephzibah Church came to a close Sunday. Many attended during the week and great understanding came in the hearts of all. Each speaker during the week was enjoyed by everyone and are welcome back to worship with us in the near fu ture. Our services each Sunday at the usual hours will continue. Be sure to come whenever possible. Those on the sick list this week are Mrs. Gevia Hinnant and Mrs. Vivian Wood Perry, who is here W. Wood at the present. Also Mr. with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. Billy Horton is still ill in a Fay etteville hospital. We wish them a speedy recovery and if there are others sick that aren’t mentioned here, our best to them also. May the milestone with good health written on it. be very near for them all. The Blaster bonnets were really out during the weekend . Most everyone went some place. It was a real pretty Easter holiday sea son except for a little cool and windy. Easter eggs were hidden most every place. Mr. and Mrs. John Carter and daughter, Janice, attended a sur prise birthday dinner for Mrs. Carter’s father, Mr. Joe Moody, of near Rolesville, Sunday. He was 76 years of age and feeling fine and awfully happy to have all his children present to celebrate with him. Mr. Charlie Wood and family and Mrs. Aubry Hood and family of Durham were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Woods and family Sunday afternoon. Mr. John Ashley Hinnant spent a while Sunday p.m. with Mr. Carl Fuller of State Hospital, Raleigh. V isit Cemetery Mr. and Mrs. Elrvin Fuller were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Ful ler of Raleigh Sunday. They spent some time in the afternoon at Montlawn sightseeing. It was a beautiful sight to see with all the graves and tombs of loved ones marked with flowers of different varieties—some crosses, some borf quets, and others wreathes and sprays. The chimes in the tower played beautifully most of the time. Some people were gathered in groups holding their Easter services. It really was an inter esting place to be and those who haven't been should go some time. Mr. and Mrs. J. Q. Pearce and children of this section were Sun day guests of Mrs. Hattie Pearce of Rolesville. Iris B’uller spent the week end with Charlotte Ann Fuller of the Millbrook community. Mrs. Billy Gay and son spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Sealey of Archer Lodge section. Her sister, Mrs. Val Phillips and family from New Port News, Va., were also visiting them during the Easter season. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Martin of Robertson Store section and Mr. Herbert Alford of Raleigh were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Alford Monday. Mrs. Nuber Bolton visited Mrs. Molly Privette and Mrs. Stancy Cay last Thursday. Fishing Trip Those from this section to go on the fishing trip Monday at Sunset Lake were Mr. and Mrs. John Car ter, Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Wood and son, Jodie, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Fuller, Mr. A. C. Hobgood, Mr. and Mrs. J. Q. Pearce, and from Raleigh was Mrs. Cleo Moody and Wake Forest was Mr. A. Y. Hob good. They cooked at the lake, having plenty of fish for all and plenty left. It was an enjoyable trip except for the high winds that almost overturned some of the boais when coming in for dinner. The afternoon was so rough no one did any fishing. The best fish ermen must have been W. E. Ful ler not that he caught the most in number, but the most in pounds. He caught a bass weighing two pounds and several smaller fish, making him the best fisherman for ail that day, since no one in the group caught any larger ones. Mrs. Marcus Fall of Camp But ner was the Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Alphus Hobgood and family. Their house-warming will be in the near future. Many gathered in the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Hobgood’s Monday night to play music and sing many old and new songs. Those taking part in the band of string music playing were Mr. John Carter, P. W. Wood, W. E. Fuller, A. Y. and A. C. Hobgood, Mrs. Alphus Hobgood, all of this section, and Mr. David Moody of near Rolesville.
