Page Ten Lizard Lick News Many came out to church Sun day even though our pastor, Joe P. Roach, wasn’t there. He had to be away so he called in a speaker in his place. We hope he will be back next Sunday to worship with us. We want everyone that will to come. The cemetery still hasn’t been j cleaned and put in good shape all the way yet. Those having loved ones buried there try and fix up your plots or have some one do it for you. The longer you wait the longer and the harder it will be to put the grounds in good shape The people of Hephzibah along with the pastor are asking you to do this in the near future. Our hearts go out in great sym- : pathy to the family of Mr. Jack j Todd who passed away at his home on N Person Street in Raleigh Sat urday He was buried in the Hephzibah Cemetery Sunday at 4 , p.m. The funeral was preached in Yelverton Funeral Home in Ral eigh at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Little i Nadine Hobgood has mumps but is doing fine at the present. Our best goes out to all the sick every where and may you be well soon. There’s a saying that “your head gets heavier than your feet or your feet heavier than your head” when someone takes a fall, but I advise you to ask Mrs. Pearl Wood about that. She was visting her mother, Mrs. J. B. Carter on Friday of last week when she fell down I four cement steps. She was car rying little Judy Pearce, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Q. Pearce, in her arms. The baby was un harmed but for Mrs. Wood, she got several bad bruises. We hope they will soon be healed. The meeting at the Tabernacle Church came to a close last Sun day. It was a wonderful service, j The will be the second Sunday in June at 4:30 p.m. at Lake Myra, if there are no changes in the plans between no w and then. Everyone is invited to come. Mrs. J. B.
