Page Two PILOT NEWS First among our happenings in Pilot is our supper that went over with a long bang on Wednesday evening. Everyone must have en joyed it. We were glad to have our Zebulon friends and many others to enjoy it with us. The proceeds, which were very good, went for our new church building. The W. M. U. Society held its regular monthly meeting on Sat urday evening in the home of Mrs. Herbert Bunn. We had a lot visitors and people vacationing last week. Mr. and Mrs. Alton Pearce spent a few days of their vacation with his mother, Mrs. Geneva Pearce last week. Mr. ard Mrs. Rodney Murray and children of Raleigh, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hall and children of Buffalo, N. Y., were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Denumal Privette last Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Pearce, Miss Anna Beryl Pearce, Mrs. Filgh 4 on Marsh and Mrs. Charlotte Warren were visitors in the home of Mrs. Geneva Pearce Sunday. Everybody enjoys visiting with Miss Geneva. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Owens of Wil son visited in the community on Sunday. Mrs. Howey Holden and Mr. and Mrs. Emmitt Wiggins of Wake Forest spent Sunday with Mrs. Mamie Bunn. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rose and Stevie are visiting with Mr. Rose’s family for a couple of weeks in Randell, N. Y. Mrs. B. B. Brantley visited her daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nigro in Richmond, Va., for a few days. « Master Sammy Brown of Pilot Mountain spent last week here with his grandmother, Mrs. B. B. Brantley. Miss Ladane Medlin was home for the weekend. Miss Doris Caroll was a weekend guest of Miriam Privette. The Girls Auxiliary held its reg ular meeting on Tuesday night. We extend our deepest sympa thy to the family of Mrs. Garland Pearce in the recent loss of their husband and father. Mr. and Mrs. Bertie Brantley were weekend guests of the Calvin Spanns.
