Plenty of Space WlfftfUf?! ¥ Eight Warehouses Two Sets of Buyers ▼¥ HiWBII ll I Sale in Each Every Day Farm Home Hints By Ruth Current Musty basement odors, common in wet weather, may be whisked away with a spray of weak for-* maldehyde solution. For a flourishing “crop” of mold in the basement, a pound of for maldehyde should be used to 1 1-4 gallons of water. The garden spray-pump or sprinkling can be used. If there are musty odors only, a weaker solution may suf fice. A small amount may be used in water for wall washing or floor scrubbing, for instance. Smelly garbage cans, sinks, pan tries, and attics also can be de oderized with the formeldehyde solution. The chemical can be purchased at drug stores, and at seed stores in certain sections of the country where it is used as a seed disinfectant. The space treated with for maldehyde should be thoroughly aired before occupancy. Rubber gloves should be worn if the hands are to come in contact with the so lution, to avoid skin irritation. Here is a compact modern five room house (1330 sq. ft.) that has “about-face” possibilities to suit any lot location. If the living room is placed on the street side stoop may be eliminated and the entry converted into a general storage closet. If, however, the living room is located as shown in the accompanying sketch added pri vacy is obtained and the terrace better lends itself to uot of door living. The den is a triple purpose room, for it may be used as a den, a dining room, or an additional bed room, depending upon the needs of the individual family. The bedrooms have corner win dows which provide cross venti lation and at the same time leave maximum wall space for furni ture placement. * ‘ LlL!i* *y IZ 1 p |M|N6 Lnrwe Room I 1- C)£p Rooh M S H=l t—-FT
