day. That is the home of Rev.

fix combination which will produce an endless variety of
delicious casserole main-dishes in a jiffy: Riceland Rice and

Riceland Rice Mushroom Casserole
3 cups cooked Riceland Rice
1 can condensed cream of
mushroom soup
*4 can of milk or water
% cup grated cheese
y 2 cup buttered dry bread
crumbs
Slices of tomato
Salt and pepper to taste
To Cook Riceland Rice: Put
1 cup of Riceland Rice, 1 tea
spoon of salt and 2 cups of cold
water in a large saucepan and
cover with a tight-fitting lid.
Set over a hot flame until it
boils vigorously. Then reduce
the heat as low as possible and
simmer for 14 minutes more,
during which time the water
will be absorbed, making the
rice deliciously tender. Remove
the lid, permit the rice to steam
dry to the desired consistency
and the grains will be separate

To Assemble: Blend milk or

Place sliced tomatoes on top.
Season slices with salt and pep
per and brush lightly with
melted butter or margarine. Set
in a moderately hot oven, 375
to 400 degrees and bake until
the whole dish is bubbly hot,
the cheese has melted and the
top is lightly browned and the
tomatoes are slightly cooked.
