Friday, April 28,1950 Lizard Lick Last Sunday the attendance at Hephzibah was 202, less than the 212 on the Sunday before. We wonder why the attendance has to continue to drop off when on some Sundays the goal of a perfect at tendance is reached. The superintendent, Mr. Thomas Raison, has asked everyone to be fcresent next Sunday and for every class to check on its members. Many are wondering about the September revival. Dr. Clyde Tur ner of Raleigh will assist in this meeting. Each night this week a youth’s revival is being held in the Tab ernacle Baptist Church. The time is 7:30. The speaker is Dr. Wayne Cats. Do your best to attend these services. Even though the distance to Raleigh is far, you will find it worth your while to attend. The boys and girls of the com munity are urged to get their books from the library for good reading, but please return them as soon as you finish with them so others may have the opportunity to read them also. The Philathea Class at Hephzi bah will meet next Friday at 3:00 p. m. in the Community Center. All members are asked to come to this meeting. The giving on the parsonage fund has slowed down very much. The pastor urges those that can and will to give to this cause so as to lessen the burden. Remember the regular services each Sunday a. m. and evening. Your church needs you and vou need the church. “Don’t try to Selfishly Bargain with God.’’ It won’t work. Come to church next Sunday.
