This was Mr. Pegram’s text on Sunday morning which several visitors and over 200 mem bers enjoyed. Miss Betty Lou Carter of Zebu lon and Raleigh assisted the choir with special music on Sunday morning. Everyone enjoyed it. The daughters of Cehryl Pearce Alford and John Alford (Frankie A. Pearce, Carinna A. Pearce, and Ora Alford) gave the church a beautiful silver vase to be used on the Communion Table. Pm sure we will enjoy having it and it will be very useful. We were happy to have the vis itors from Zebulon to worship with us Sunday morning. We in vite you to come and be with us again. Mr. and Mrs. Cela Jones of Ral eigh spent Sunday here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Jones. Mr. and Mrs. Jarmen Finch of Wilson spent the weekend with them also. John Bissette of the Army was home for the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. O. D. Stallings are spending this week here while on vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Liney, Mrs. Mamie Stallings, and Mrs. Victor Stallings visited Mr. Victor Stal lings at the Sanitorium in Raleigh on Sunday. Miss Sylvia Braddy of Washing ton, D. C., is spending this week here with Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Pearce before her marriage to James on Sunday. We were happy to have Mr. and Mrs. Knott with us for the worship service Sunday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Alford and Miss Ora Alford of Raleigh were here for the weekend. Mrs. Russell Bunn and boys of Goldsboro spent Sunday here with Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Brantley. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Williams, Mrs. B. B. Brantley and Mrs. Lon nie Williams spent the weekend in Richmond with relatives. Mr. Alton Pearce spent last week here with his mother, Mrs. Geneva Pearce. Mrs. Pearce, Anna Beryl, and Cliff Marsh joined him here for the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Pearce of Kinston spent Sun day here with them also. Mrs. Helen Alcorn and children of Norfolk spent the weekend with her mother, Mrs. Jenny Pippin. The Junior Department in Sun day Schol enjoyed a weiner roast at Lake Wendell on Saturday af ternoon. Mrs. Broodie Privette entertain ed with a miscellaneous shower for Mrs. Ronald Pearce on Satur day night. Her friends and rela tives were there and they received a host of nice and useful gifts. The Woman’s Club held its monthly meeting on Thursday af ternoon with Mrs. W. I. Phillips. On Tuesday afternoon of last week, Mrs. Hubert Bunn, Mrs. Truett Bunn, Mrs. Calvin Spann, Mrs. Rona Cone, and Mrs. W. U. Perry attended a demonstration on sewing machine attachments at Louisburg.
