NOTICE OF SPECIAL BOND
ELECTION AND SUPPLEMENT
AL REGISTRATION
in the
TOWN OF ZEBULON, NORTH
CAROLINA
A special bond election will be
held between 6:30 a. m. and 6:30
p. m., Eastern Standard Time, on
Tuesday, January 16, 1951, at
which there will be submitted to
the qualified voters of the Town
of Zebulon the following question:
Shall an ordinance passed De
cember 11, 1950, authorizing not
exceeding $50,000 Municipal
Building Bonds of the Town of
Zebulon for the purpose of pro- !
viding funds for erecting and
equipping a building for munici
pal purposes, including offices,
courtroom, jail, and fire station,
and acquiring a site therefor, and
a tax for said bonds, be approved?
The question hereinabove sett
forth contains a statement of the
purpose for which the bonds are
authorized by the ordinance refer
red to in such question. If said
bonds are issued a tax will be lev
ied for the payment of the princi
pal and interest thereof on all
taxable property in said Town.
For said election the regular reg
istration books for elections in said
Town will be used, and such books
will be open for the registration of
voters, not theretofore registered,
from 9 a. m. until sunset on each
day beginning Saturday, Decem
ber 23, 1950, and closing Satur
day, January 6, 1951. On each Sat

of Commissioners of the Town of
Zebulon:
Section 1. That, pursuant to
The Municipal Finance Act, 1921,
as amended, bonds of the Town of
Zebulon, North Carolina, shall be
issued in an aggregate principal
amount not exceeding $50,000 for

shall take effect when approved by
the voters of the Town at an elec
tion as provided by said Act.

passed on the 11th day of Decem
ber, 1950, and was first publish
ed on the 15th day of December,!
