Two LIZARD LICK NEWS The attendance last Sunday at Hephzibah was 206, and the of fering was $80.03. This was good for a rainy Sunday. Hope more will come next Sunday. Sunday evening at 7:30 Mr. S. B. Jones was heard as speaker. He represents the Gideons Inter national Christian Business Men’s Association. They are a band of men who have a worthy goal “Witnessing for Christ to Others.” The Jr. G. A. and Jr. R. A. will have a mission study course at the Community Center Wednesday, March 7, at 7:30 p. m. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Perry will teach the book “Extra, City Edition.” The W. M. S. and Y. W. A. will have a mission study class Friday evening at 7:30 at the Commun ity Center. Mrs. Roberta Martin Perry of Angier Avenue Church, Durham, will teach the book “O Jerusalem.” Remember the Women’s Mis sionary Society Week of Prayer will have the week divided as fol lows: Monday, Mrs. Oris Horton; Tuesday, Mrs. J. G. Winston; Wed nesday, Mrs. W. T. Sherron; Thurs day, Mrs. O. P. Cash; Friday, Mrs. Amos Dean. All services will be gin at 3:00 p. m. Mrs. Jake Pearce has announc ed the Training Union study course at the church to begin March 12, Monday night, at 7:30. Rev. Lee Pridgen will teach the book for the young people and adults, “Every Christian’s Job.” You will want to hear him. The book will be “Fishers.” The Junior book is “Jesus Saves.” Their teacher will be announced later also. All members are urg ed to come. Also others who are interested. Let your prayers be daily and constantly for the coming revival beginning March 25. Pray for the pastor that he may bring stirring messages each night. Invite visi tors and encourage members to attend. Also speak to the lost, un saved, and uninterested. Put on your whole armor of “Faith, Sal vation, Righteousness, Truth, Peace, and the Word of God.” God is willing and God is ready. Are you? To all our sick we wish the best of health even if we fail to men tion you here each week. Often you aren’t known to us. Mr. E. B. Parrish fell Saturday and injured his ankle and leg. May it soon heal. Mrs. Edna Honeycutt is able to be out again after being shut in a few days last week with an infec tion in the nose and head. Mr. Grady Honeycutt is improv ing also after a trip to the doctor last week with his nose and head trouble. Mrs. Earl Horton has been in Rex Hospital several days. She’s home now and shows improve ment. We hope she whl have a speedy recovery. Kenneth Hobgood is shut in with measles. May he soon be ■well and back in school. Mr. James Hendricks,, is still sick. Also Mrs. Maude Liles and Mrs. A. B. Knott. Their conditions The Zebulon Record aren’t known to me at this time. God speed their recovery. It has been reported that Mrs. Mary Dean plans to return home soon from a Portsmouth hospital where she has been ill for some time. We are glad she is better. Mrs. Leonora P. Wall is still in Rex Hospital but is some bet ter at this time. She has been there for a long time, and we do hope she will soon be home. We extend our deepest heartfelt sympathy to the parents, relatives, and friends of all those young men who lost their lives in that awful accident last Thursday night near Zebulon. It has left a great stain and vacancy in this community, in the homes and classrooms of Wen dell School. These young men were Jimmy Dean Wiggs, Billy Rhodes, and J. O. Allen, all of this com munity, Luther Charles Haswell and Wyndell Lewis of Wendell. God heal and comfort all broken hearts. Our loss is His gain. We also sympathize with the families of Harold Ray Hinton of near Archer Lodge and S: E. Rose of Raleigh, who also were killed in the same accident. May peace and contentment come to these saddened homes. Mrs. Grover Arnold and Voncile of near Louisburg visited Mrs. Roger Privette Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. V. E. Parrish of Gr'eystone were guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Fuller and Millie Sun day. Mr. and Mrs. George Currin and children visited Mr. and Mrs. John Starnes, Jr., Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Hocutt vis ited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Wood, during the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Fuller of Raleigh called on the W. E. Full ers late Sunday p. m. A memorial service was held Monday at 11:45 a. m. in Wendell School Auditorium for the youths killed in the accident last Thurs day night. Many from many sec tions were there in their memory. Mrs. Harry Witt and children of New Jersey are spending a few days here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Wiggs. Mrs. J. Ray Nowell of the Taber nacle section called on Mrs. W. E. Fuller Tuesday afternoon of last week. Misses Willie Sue and Sally Rue Alford of the Tabernacle section visited their sister, Mrs. Milton Mincey, Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Everette Ray, Ken neth, and Miss Nellie Fuller visit ed Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Fuller .Thursday night. Mrs. Sanford Pearce visited Mrs. Roger Privette Monday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Graham Lane of Wendell visited Mr. and Mrs. Har ry Hinnant Sunday. Little Tony Alford awoke Mon day a. m. with a temperature and had to stay out of school. We hope he is soon well and out again. Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Alford vis ited in the Tabernacle section Sunday. We also wish to express our sympathy to the family of Mr. Everette Moody, who passed away early Monday at his home in Ral eigh or upon the arrival at the hos pital. He is the son of Mrs. Lula Moody of the Tabernacle section, and his wife is the former Madie Nowell, also of that section.
