Friday, April 27, 1951 NO SERVICES There will be no preach ing service at the Zebulon Methodist Church on Sun day, April 29, because it is a fifth Sunday. The Rev. S. E. Mercer, pastor, is engaged in closing the revival services at the Wendell Methodist Church. Pilot News Our attendance at church Sun day was fine. We reached our goal, plus 49. Let’s everyone come next Sunday and bring someone with you. Our baptismal service was held Sunday night. The church was al most filled. We enjoyed hav ing all of them in our new church. Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Brooks Williams announce the birth of a daughter, Rhonda Brooks. There were visitors in the com munity here and there. Mr. and Mrs. Bailey Stallings, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Stallings, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Keith and Dan ny were dinner guests at the Dur wood Stallings’ on Saturday night. Miss Janice Lewis from New York was home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Lewis, for the weekend. Mr. Arthur Ferrell from Wake field visited in our church on Sunday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Domie Bunn and family had dinner with Mrs. Bunn’s sister in Pine Ridge on Sunday night. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Todd and Mrs. John Lee visited Mr. and Mrs. Miley Bunn on Saturday. Mr. Tyree Driver had the flu again this week. He is improving nicely now. Mr. Mark Ray is still on our sick list this week. We wish for him a speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. John Lockamy from Durham visited her mother, Mrs. Emma Lewis, on Saturday. Misses Judy Cone and Alice Faye Batchelor from Samaria spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Lewis. Mr. Hillard Phillips from Bai ley visited Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Bunn on Saturday. Misses Judy Stallings and Mel rose Williams from ECTC spent the weekend with their parents. Mrs. Hubert Bunn, Mrs. Will Perry, Mrs. Rona Cone, Mrs. B. B. Brantley, and Miss Claude Lew is attended a quilting at Mrs. Clif- , ton Perry’s in Hopkins Chapel on . Monday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Stallings from Durham visited his mother, Mrs. Lily Stallings, on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Maylon Frazier from Raleigh spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Ray. Miss Sue Bunn spent Sunday afternoon with Alice Ray. Gene Bunn spent Saturday night with Norwood Martin. Flouna Stallings spent Satur day nieht with Nancy Jo and Treasure Martin. Nancy Jo Martin spent Sunday afternoon with Joyce Bunn. The Sunbeam Band met Sunday mborning at the church. There were 40 girls and boys present. There was a wonderful crowd attending the study course last week. Be sure to attend church of your choice next Sunday. A.’s and R. A.’s of Hop kins Chapel met at the church Monday night. They had good at tendance. The G. A.’s are pro gressing very much under the leadership of Mary Frances Mar tin and Jimmie Lee Pearce. We appreciate their work so much. The R. A.’s are doing fine also un der the leadership of our pastor. We appreciate his interest in these boys beyond expression. We are sorry the following are on the sick list: Mrs. Roxie Bunn at Mary Elizabeth Hospital, Irvin Duke at Rex Hospital, Mrs. Ches ley Mailey at home, Mr. Bud Jack son at home, Bonnie Perrl is still at Veterans’ Hospital, Fayetteville, but he has improved much and expects to be at home soon. Mrs. Annie Finch and Mr. Edd Baker are more feeble than usual. Mr. Austin Perry enjoyed a bar becue dinner at the Motor Cycle Club in Raleigh last Sunday. The Club will visit the Billsboro Club next Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Howel spent the weekend at Austin Perry’s. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Finch, Ed die and Norma Pearce visited the F. M. Pearces near Chapel Hill Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Cope, Iris, and Rose Temple visited the H. L. and N. A. Bunns in Durham Sunday.
