I am sure everyone is really thankful for the much needed rain we have had. Wonder why we can’t show our thankfulness to God by attending church some where on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bowling of Franklin County and family visited relatives in this section Sunday noon. ab isitors at Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Wi’lifords Sunday afternoon were Mrs. Rosa Davis, Mr. Jarvis Vaughn and girl friend from Fu quay Springs, and Mrs. Lowell Horton and children. Mrs. Lena Watson visited there Friday p.m. Mr. Williford has been suffering lately from neuritis. Miss Nell Williams of Wendell spent a few days last week with friends here. Mrs. Myrtle Robertson is at Carolina Beach. Mrs. Russell Weathers and Mrs. Ira Dean have been having teeth extracted recently. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Perry of Durham spent last Friday and Sat urday with Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Perry. They are enjoyed fishing at Horton’s Pond while here. Fish were really biting. We are sorry Mrs. Luther Wat kins is not improving. She has been sick for several months now. Mr. Bill Davis is hoping to come home from Rex Hospital this week. Mr. Henry Davis had to be taken back to Rex Hospital Sunday. Mr. Charles Perry purchased himself a new Ford last week. Edward and Allan Williford spent last weekend in Raleigh with Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Carter. Mr. and Mrs. Bates Cash called to see Mr. Henry Davis last Sat urday afternoon. Miss Helen Gurley visited Miss Ruby Doris Perry Saturday night.
