PEARCE NEWS
Our revival ended Sunday morn
ing. It was a great meeting, but
I still feel like it shouldn’t have
ended Sunday morning, but should
have continued on a few more
nights.
Mr. and Mrs. Plybon Pearce and
family of Garner and Mr. and Mrs.
.David Lee Clayton of Durham
were visitors in the home of Mr.
Pearce and Mrs. Clayton’s parents,
the A. N. Pearces, on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Strickland
and family are spending the week
at the beach.
Mrs. Let Johnson and Donna
Fay visited their grandmother,
Mrs. Katy Catlette, at Wakefield
Sunday.
Mrs. B. K. Gay took her mother,
Mrs. Arthur Ferrell, back to see
her doctor at Raleigh last week.
Mrs. Ivon Pearce visited her
stepmother, Mrs. Flonnie Haywood,
at Social Plain Sunday.
I want to take this time to say
we enjoy having all the visitors
from other communities in our
revival this week and enjoy the
special music. We enjoyed having
our pastor’s daughter, Miss Pattie
Lou Lamm, who is attending sum
mer school at Greenville, in our
service over the weekend to help
in the special music Sunday.
Mrs. Jim Phillips of near Zeb
ulon spent Sunday with her sister,
Miss Hattie Pearce.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Perry and
daughter and a friend of Raleigh
took dinner with their mother,
Mrs. Lucy Perry, and Mr. and Mrs.
L. D. Perry Sunday.
Correction: It was Miss Barbara
Perry instead of Barbara Pearce
that has been on vacation; and
Mrs. L. D. Perry instead of Mr.
L. D. Perry that attended preach
ing at Harris Chapel a few weeks
ago.
We were glad to see Mrs. W. H.
Privette able to attend church
some last week. She has been sick
so long and not able to go any
where.
Mrs. Doris Mullins of Bunn and
Mrs. A. K. May of near Hopkins
Chapel visited their parents, the
I. O. Pearces, Sunday.
Mr.' and Mrs. Grady Ray of
Raleigh spent Saturday night
with Mr. Ray’s parents, the Fred
Rays.
Mr. and Mrs. Leland Marshall
of Raleigh visited Mrs. Marshall’s
parents, the Robert E. Pearces,
last week.
The former Angela Pearce and
her husband of Rolesville spent
the week with her parents, the
F. O. Pearces.
Little Garry Baker, son of Mrs.
Joe Wright, spent the weekend at
White Lake with her father and
cousin, Mr. Jessie Baker and
James Baker of Raleigh.
Our Sunday School picnic will
be at Pullen Park next Friday
evening. Those who do not have
ways to go meet at the church
right after twelve.
