Eight UNION CHAPEL NEWS There was quite a large crowd at Union Chapel last Sunday. Cer tainly was glad to see more at church than usual. There were some new faces Sunday. Bringing us a wonderful mes sage last Sunday was Rev. Parker of Zebulon, student at Wake Forest. We were all glad to have him and his wife with us. Mrs. Parker sang a very beautiful hymn for us. Looking forward to their next vis it at tJnion Chapel. We in this section are in terri ble need of rain. The wells are completely drying up. We are all hoping to see some water real soon. This has been some wonder ful weather on the farmers feed. We are also glad to see a little bit of cold weather. Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Maynard were honored at a shower in the home of Mrs. Bernard Mitchell last Saturday. There were a lot of guests present and many nice gifts were presented to them. Games and refreshments were en joyed by all. The hostesses were Mrs. Bernard Mitchell and Mrs. Charles Creech. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wall vis ited in the home of Mrs. Essie Cunningham last Sunday after noon. Master Jerry Mullin also visited, with his mother, Juliette and grandmother. Mr. and Mrs. John Bissette and daughter of near Zebulon visited with Mrs. Clem Creech last Sun day. We sincerely hope that Mr. E. C. Pearce is better and at home now. Mr. and Mrs. Julian Mitchell, Mr. Edwin Currin, and Miss Doris Dean went on a fishing trip to Ale,rehead City over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. G. P. Massey and Larry of Pilot, Mr. and Airs Vance Lee Denton and children, and Mr. Sterling Alitchell visited in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Creech on Sunday. Air. and Airs. Perry Lee Carlyle and her grandfather visited in the home of Air. and Mrs. Vance Lee Denton last Saturday night. Mr. Billy Wayne Perry of near Zebulon visited in the home of Mr. Franklin Creech last Sunday eve ning. Miss Faye Fuller and Master Wayne Fuller spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Maiden of near Selma. Mr. and Mrs.. Curtis Horton and Ted of Bunn, Pfc. and Mrs. Don ald Richards and Mr. and Mrs. Fernie Richards visited in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Buck Rich ards last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. James Mitchell and children visited in the homes of Mr. and Mrs. George Mangum, Mr. and Mrs. Vance Lee Denton, and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Creech last Sunday night. How does it feel to drive a Buick? The Zebulon Record Mrs. J. W. Young and children and her sister, Mary, and little M. C., Jr., visited in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Mitchell on Sunday afternoon. They enjoy ed eating grapes with the Mit chells. Airs. Buck Richards went to see her doctor in Bunn last Saturday. Congratulations and best wishes for happiness to Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hopkins, who were wed last Saturday. A happy marriage, I’m sure, is yours.
