Two UNION CHAPEL Mr. and Mrs. Cordie Ferrell and children are staying with Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Mitchell and Mrs. Lillie Ferrell until they can move their furniture and stock back to this community where they will make their home on the John Brannon farm. Rev. John Parker visited in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Heber Creech last Saturday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Mitchell and Mrs. Buck Richards visited in the home of Mrs. Mary Kemp of Wakefield last Wednesday after noon. The visit was enjoyed. We are sorry to hear that Mrs. Sterling Mitchell and Mrs. Jack Creech are not feeling well. Hope they will soon be well. Miss Shirley Ann Richards of Edinburg celebrated her 15th birthday last Tuesday, January Ist. Mr. and Mrs. James Mitchell and Mary Ella of Rolesville visit ed in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Heber Creech last Monday. Mr. Vance Lee Denton visited in the home of his mother, Mrs. Bill Denton last Saturday afternoon. Pfc. Donald Richards has been transferred from Greenville, S. C., to an Air Force Base in New York. Mr. Woodrow Richards has been painting the interior of the Pitt man Stell tenant house in Wake field. Mr. and Mrs. Richards are planning to make their home there for the next year, where they plan to farm.. Mrs. Julia Draughon visited with Mrs. Buck Richards last Wednes day afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. G. P. Massey of Pi lot visited in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Creech last Sunday af ternoon. Come to Union Chapel and wor ship with us each and every Sun day. PLEASANT HILL There were 241 present last Sun day. We are looking for the other 9 next Sunday. A new circle of the W. M. S. j has been organized and is named the Pattie Lee Circle in honor of Miss Pattie Lee. Sunday School report for De cember 1951 attendance, 1081. Of fering $428.00, Training Union re port for December 1951, attend ance 231. An expansion for the Hephzi bah Baptist Church for three years was voted on and passed. 1. An officers and teachers meet ing every quarter. A teachers study course once a year. 2. A better attendance in the Woman’s Missionary Union, and enlist more who are not in at tendance. 3. To enroll more in Training Union, it might be through trans portation. North Carolina Catholic 4. Organize a brotherhood. 5. Every fifth Sunday evening have song night choir, solos, quar tets, duets and trios. 6. Have one revival and preach ing week. Or have a week for young people known as youth week. 7. Every member a daily Bible reader. 8. To encourage more the works of visitation have organized groups. 9. That special effort be made to reach a goal of 300 in attendance in Sunday School in 1952. 10. That we so council with those who have gone from the church in wrong living, win them back in talk and season of prayer. 1 11. Encourage those in the com munity and out to be regular giv ers. 12. Work for 200 in Vacation Bible School. 13. That we seek to deepen the Spiritual life of our church to where the lost feel they must yield to Christ. We are sorry to know Mrs. Leon ard Dean of Eagle Rock is ill in Rex Hospital. If I make no mistake, Mr. Clar ence Strickland is in Duke Hos-1 pital. We hope re can soon be back home. Puryear, also Mrs. Joe Carter spent Sunday. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jeffreys, January 6, a son, Grady Lynn. Mrs. Jeffreys is the former Margaret Carter of this section. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Willard Gay, a daughter, Wanda Ann, January 3. Mrs. Gay is the former Miss Peggie Scarboro. Mr. Charles Perry and Miss Ruby Doris Perry were Thursday night visitors of the A. O.
