Two Personal Items Mary Ellen Kitchen of Maxton and Mary Sue Britt of Jackson ville, Beach, Fla., are visiting their aunt, Mrs. Howard Beck. They will return home Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Raeford Brinkley of Thomasville and children visit ed the Fred Becks and Howard Becks Sunday. The Ralph Taltons and Frank Coiners were dinner guests of Mrs. Sterling Gates in Four Oaks Sunday. Mrs. Richard Bunn of Winston- Salem, Mrs. J. W. Sanders and Mrs. Sterling Gates of Four Oaks visited the Ralph Taltons Friday. Dr and Mrs. Ben Thomas are spending this week at Myrtle Beach. The James Alfords have return ed from their vacation, to Virginia, Nags Head and Manteo. Charles Alford is in Rex Hos pital with a broken leg suffered in an accident Thursday. Mrs. D. D. Chamblee broke her ankle Thursday. W. A. Allman is in Hazelhurst, Ga., on the tobacco market. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Cash of Richmond, Va., visited the Gil mer Parrishes Thursday. W T illie Griswold got his nose broken in a softball game Thurs day night. Mrs. Ann Harris and Jack Harris of Kinston and the Hall Millers of Wake Forest spent Sunday with the Ferd Davises. Miss Linda Bridgers has taken a job in Washington, D. C., until her college starts in the fall. Mr. and Mrs. Bobbie Bridgers of Raleigh were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Bridgers Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Holmes Bunn of Seattle, Washington, and Mrs. Lena Freeman of Wake Forest were dinner guests of the Falc Bunns Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong Canna dy and Drew spent Sunday in Oxford with Mr. Cannady’s mo ther. Misses Rebekah Talbert and Ir ma Walker spent the weekend with Mrs. H. C. Wade.
