Friday, August 1, 1952 MRS. MABEL WILLIFORD Bethany Newsbriefs Sunday School attendance was 126 last Sunday. Next Sunday morning at 11 o’- clock a student preacher will speak, Mr. Claude Cornell. He is speaking in the absence of Rev. K. S. Combs, who is away at camp. Mrs. Willie L. Watson, Mrs. Kearnie Faison and Mrs. Earl are home from the hospit al. Mrs. Waylon Hood of the Wake field community underwent an op eration at Rex Hospital Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Elvin H. Horton announce the birth of a baby girl, Elvine Ann, July 23, at Mary Eliz abeth Hospital. There was a large crowd at the opening of C. N. Robertson’s new store last Saturday. Refreshments were served and valuable prizes were awarded. Mr. Samuel Davis and Mr. Ed ward Watkins, Jr., are at camp for two weeks. Mrs. Samuel Davis is spending this week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Hagwood in Knightdale. Mrs. Mamie Watson visited her father, B. F. Weathers, Friday. Mrs. Charles Knott of Wendell spent the weekend with her par ents. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Coley. Mr. Delano Pearce and Mr. Lawrence Puryear visited Mr. Ed ward and Allen Williford Sunday. Miss Helen Gurley of Raleigh spent last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Gurley.
