Two Rolesville Faculty Has First Meeting The Rolesville School Faculty, under the leadership of the Princi pal, Mr. Gilbert W. Davis held its first meeting of the new session in the school auditorium on Mon day, September Bth at 9 a. m. Mrs. W. J. Little led the group in singing America and a popular round, after which a brief devo tional was conducted. Mr. Davis introduced the new members of the faculty who consisted of Messrs. Duncan, Rose Boyan and Farns worth and Mr. Nowell and then proceeded immediately into the business of the morning. Mr. John L. Perkinson, Secretary of the Wake County NCEA, spoke in behalf of the organization he represents, and immediately fol lowing, the faculty pledged 100 percent membership in the county and state N. C. E. A. Miss Ann Cox of the music department was selected to represent the faculty in collecting dues for the above organization. Mrs. Eunice B. Applewhite, President of the Wake County Classroom Teachers’ Association, outlined the advantages of her or ganization and again the Rolesville Faculty pledged 100 percent mem bership in the C. T. A. During the noon hour, Mr. and Mrs. Davis invited the faculty to the lunch room where a chicken barbecue lunch was served by the cafeteria staff, Mrs. Sam Wall and Mrs. Spruill Pulley. The guest speaker for the luncheon was Mr. Fred A. Smith, Assistant County Superintendent of Education. Al so present were Mrs. Barnes, High School Supervisor and Mrs. Re velle, Elementary Supervisor, who offered their assistance to respec tive members of the Rolesville Faculty. The faculty reassembled after lunch and heard a most informa tive outline of the public school music program by Mrs. W. J. Lit tle. The chicken barbecue supper that the Wakefield Baptist Church is putting on will be held at the Wakelon School Lunch Room Friday Sept. 26 from 5:30 to 8:00 o’clock. Any time you can come you will be served as long as the food lasts. Plates $1.25 at the door. I want to thank all the ladies who responded so freely to my call for pies for the church supper. And, ladies of our church, please come and bring dish towels to help withwashing and drying dish es and serving food Come one, come all and enjoy the food, also the crowd. Please don’t forget our Home Demonstration Club Supper next Tuesday, Sept. 30 at the Club House at 3:00. All the ladies are invited to come and bring lunch and the family. The kids can come from school. We want to have a big time. Bring card tables to spread food on. C. E. Stone is getting on better. Most all the sick have gotten al most well. Glad to see Mr. D. C.
