Her daughter, Mrs. Martha Weathers of Rolesville is attend ing her during her illness. Mrs. S. L. Yeargin has returned home from the hospital and is im proving. Mrs. Harry Hinnant entered the hospital Thursday for treatment. She has suffered from arthritis for several years. Mr. Harry Hinnant is very sick with asthm^. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Morgan and daughters, Judy and Ginger, of Ra'eigh were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Gay. Visitors of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Hinnant Saturday night were Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Ray Hinnant and sons, of Wendell, Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Horton of Knightdale, and Mesdames Ervin Fuller and Billy Gay and little Billy Gay. Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Honeycutt visited the W. E. Fullers Saturday night. Mrs. Billy Gay accompanied Mrs. Jimmy Wootton of Wendell to Raleigh to take her little daughter, Donna, to the doctor for a checkup Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Harris and Mrs. Eula Belle from Raleigh recently visited Mr. and Mrs. Clif ton Perry. Mrs. Clifton Perry spent last Friday with the L. N. Bakers. Melba Jean Baker visited Miss Brooks Pearce last Friday night. Mrs. W. A. Perry visited Mr. and Mrs. N. L Perry Sunday af ternoon. Mr. Woodrow Brannon is suf fering from a heart attack. Mr. Maylon Baker of Sanford was home for the weekend. A speedy recovery is wished to Mrs. B. K. Hopkins, Mrs. Jack Jackson, Claude Jackson, Marvin Horton and Mrs. Eugene Mitchell. Mrs. L. N. Baker and Mrs. Max Perry, Jr., called to see the Oscar Perrys and the Shelton Woods Sunday afternoon. The R. A.’s met at church last Monday night. Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Slaughter of Raleigh visited the Cyclone Mac Perrys last weekend. Mr. Layford Perry is in Mary Elizabeth Hospital. MRS. MAMIE BUNN Pilot News Mr. Waddell Horton, stationed at Fort Jackson, S. C., is spend ing a few days with Mrs. Horton. Miss Melrose Williams and Miss Dudith Stallings of E. C. C., spent the weekend with their parents. Mrs. Ralph Stewart and Greg ory of Lake Alfred, Fla., are spending some time with Mrs. Ste warts’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bailey Stallings. Mrs. Jennie Pippin, who has been quite ill at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Neil Carmichael, in Rocky Mount, is slowly improving. Mrs. David Batten and children have recently moved to Newport News, Va., a f ter spending some time with her parents, the Zollie Alfords. Mr. Reginald Lewis Mr. Charles Massey, Mr. Cloyce Alford and Mr. Max Williams went to New York last weekend to take Mr. Archie and Truett Bunn where they plan to enlist with the Merchant Ma rines. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Hus*ey of Raleigh visited friends and rela tives in the community Sunday. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Preston Massey last weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Sherrill Griffin and three children of Raleigh, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald and children and Bobby Massey of Greensboro. Sympathy is extended to the family of Mrs. Marzilla Williams, who died last Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Domie Bunn and children were dinner guests of the Gilbert Becks last Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. Avon Wright of Arlington, Va., visited Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lowe last Sunday. Mrs. William Bullock has re cently returned from Rex Hospital where she had a major operation. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Davis Bunn have moved into their new home. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bullock of Goldsboro visited the Preston Mas seys Sunday. T. Ray was hostess to her bridge club Wednesday night. Upon arrival the guests were serv ed a delicious dessert course with coffee and nuts. High score prize was won by Mrs. Margie Kelly and low by Mrs. James Barbee Alford. Playing were Mesdames M. L. Hagwood, Margie Kelly, E. E. Wig gins, James B. Alford, James Lin er, Bennie B. Williams, and Misses Mozelle Ray and Anna B. Pearce. The Lela Stallings Class held its meeting at the home of Mrs. Jessie Arnold, last Tuesday night with about 25 members present.
