Nearly two years ago Zebulon lost one of the members of the police j force leaving only two full time men, one of which is town clerk and utility man for the town. Our City Dump is a health hazard to the community with wharf rats running all over the place. Our city garbage and trash disposal system is no better than it was 7 years ago when I first came to Zebulon. Although the town could afford to issue $50,000.00 in bonds for a Municipal Building and purchase a big lot for an Armory without rais ing taxes, it has yet to find away to cut the tax rate.
