Miss Everette Claire Sander
ford of Cary, N. C., whose mar
riage to William S. Marley of
Zebulon will take place July 11,
was honored at a miscellaneous
shower Thursday evening given by
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Williams at
their home.
Miss Sander ford was presented
a white carnation corsage, gift of
the hosts.
The Williams home was deco
rated with gladioli and mixed
summer flowers.
There were about 35 present and
the hostess served wedding cake,
punch, mints and nuts, carried
out in green and white.

en barbecue supper tonight at the
community park. Ed Ellington is
preparing the chickens, and Wil
lie B. Hopkins is in charge of
making the slaw.
Red Davis is connected with the
R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Co., and
is on the Moultrie, Ga. market.
Mrs. Herbert Perry is a patient
at Duke Hospital where she under
went a serious heart operation.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph House and
children of Cincinnati, Ohio, re
turned home Thursday after being
with their parents, the A. R.
Houeses for a week. Mrs. Ralph
House came two weeks ago to be
with her mother-in-law on her re
turn from the hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Turrcntine
and son of Bellbuckle, Tenn., are
visiting Mrs. Turrentine’s parents,
the A. R. Houses.
Howard Bunn of Danville, Va.,
visited his brothers in Zebulon last
weekend.
Mrs. Tom Davis and son, Lyon,
