Two PILOT Mission Group Holds Successful Meeting The W. M. S. met at the church Monday night with 20 members present. Mrs. Herman Williams had charge of the prayer and topic “What is the Advance Program Do ing to Us.” Mrs. Avon Brantley, Mrs. Zollie Alford, Mrs. Bennie Lewis, Mrs. Harold Alford, Miss Helen Greene and Mrs. Mamie Bunn took part on the program. Miss Judith Stallings of Smith field spent the weekend with her parents, the Herbert Stallings. T-Sgt. and Mrs. Dwight Bunn of Ala., who has recently returned from Okinawa, were visitors at the Calvin Spanns Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Pearce vis ited the Harry Wilders of Rock Spring Monday night. Duane Williams has returned to Rex Hospital for further observa tion and treatment. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Hussey of Garner visited Mrs. Hussey’s mo ther, Mrs. Mamie Bunn, Sunday afternoon. The Sunbeam Band met at the church Sunday morning with 35 member spresent. Their study was on “Gods Beautiful World.” The leaders. Mrs. Guilford Buffkin and Mrs. Richard Lowe, had charge of the group. Mr. and Mrs. George Brown of Franklinton, and Mrs. Harvey Car vinor and children of Nashville, visited Mr. and Mrs. Waylon Ray last Sunday. Miss Melrose Williams of High Point spent the weekend with her parents, the Herman Williams. Mr. and Mrs. James Pearce and children have returned from Chat tanooga, Tenn. Mr. Pearce has gone to Washington, D. C., where he will finish the ball season with the Senators. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Carter and daughter of Henderson visited her parents, the Gabe Medlins, Sunday. Mrs. Hubert Bunn, Mrs. Claude Lewis, and Miss Bonita Bunn were visitors of Mrs. Roxie Bunn of the Hopkins Chapel community last Sunday afternoon. The G. A.’s met with Miss Shir ley Broadway Monday night. Eigh teen members were present and an interesting program was given by several members. The hostess served delicious refreshments. Mrs. Domie Bunn visited Duane Williams in Rox Hospital Saturday. Mrs. Vera Rhodes and Mrs. Alice Hood of Wakefield were visitors of Mrs. Jennie Pippin and the Lennie Pooles Sunday afternoon.
