Friday, April 2, 1954 Middlesex School News By Dallas Mallison Juniors to Give Play The juniors at Middlesex high school will present the annual jun ior class play in the school audi torium Friday evening, April 2. The play this year is entitled, “Kay Beats the Band,” and it should prove most amusing and interest ing. Senior Trip The Middlesex-seniors will leave on Thursday, April 9, next week, for their annual Educational Trip. They will return Sunday evening, April 12. This year’s group will tour not only the nation’s capital but also Mt. Vernon, the famous home of Washington. They also are plan ning to pay a visit to the famous Luray Caverns in Western Virgin ia. The seniors will be accompanied by two teachers’, Mrs. Margaret Williford, the 12th grade home room teacher, and Mr. Jake Wright, Jr., the 9B home room teacher. Both will act as chape rones and guides. The seniors realized a net profit of at least $560 from the supper held recently and this is the main source of the wherewithal with which to make this trip. The amount realized from the annual supper is the largest ever deriv ed from a similar event. A gross of nearly SBOO was achieved. CTA Elects Head The new head of the Middlesex Classroom Teachers Department is Mrs. Mozelle Amspacher, the 6-7th grade teacher, who will rep resent the school during the com ing year at county and state meet ings involving the CTA.
