A progressive Zebulon is my desire and I have filed for commissioner because my interest in the people of Zebu lon and my experience in serving them in the past will better enable me to serve them in the future, in the way they should be served. Mr. Luther Taylor of Raleigh visited his son, Billy, who is stay ing with the Leonard Bunns, Sat urday. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Hocutt of Raleigh were Sunday night supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Ho cutt. Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Wilder and Miss Gretchen Hocutt of Wendell visited the Thomas Fowlers Sun day evening. Misses Shelby Fowler, Katie Hocutt, Dorothy Hinton and Alice Price of Raleigh spent the week end with their parents. Mrs. Myra Hinnant of Wendell was a Sunday guest of Mr. and Mrs. Alfonza Eason. Mrs. Vinette Stevens and Miss Betty Lou Michael of Thanksgiv ing called on the Thomas Fowlers and Edd Hocutts Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Ellis and Wayne were recent visitors of the P. C. Scarboros at Rolesville. Miss Janie Wilder spent Satur day with the Bennett Stricklands in Dunn. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Pulley and Larry visited the James Pulleys in Zebulon Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Gill of Zebulon visited Mr. J. B. O’Neal and the E. E. Powells Sunday eve ning. Mrs. Mary Bunn, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Pulley visited Mrs. Luther Taylor and Mr. N. A. Wall in Rex Hospital Monday night. Mr. and Mrs. Vester Wilder spent the weekend with their chil dren in Raleigh. The Hoyle Bunns of Durham and Mr. Benny Cope visited Mr. and Mrs. Dee Cope recently. The National Guard needs men from 17 to 18'/ 2 years old.
