Hear Dr. Holt
Dr. D. D. Holt, Executive Direc
tor of the Methodist College Foun
dation of North Carolina, Inc., will
preach at the 11:00 o’clock wor-„
ship service at the Zebulon Metho
dist Church, Sunday, June 3rd on
the subject, “Christian Faith or Fu
tility.” The Rev. Mr. Holt will
help the congregation observe
Methodist Student Day on this
Sunday.
He will speak to the Youth Di
vision at the Church School hour
on their choice of college and their
vocation.
The General Conference of The
Methodist Church calls upon every
congregation of Methodists to set
aside this Sunday as Methodist
Student Day. The focus of this day
is Christian education — its con
tribution to the life and character
of youth, and its place in the pre
servation and propagation of Chris
tianity. On this Sunday Zebulon
Methodists join Methodists around
the world in a special tribute to
their students and to their institu
tions, and in the acceptance of their
responsibility for their continued
growth and progress.
Methodist Student Day gives
each local church an opportunity
to have part in National Methodist
Scholarships and Student Loan
Funds. Any qualified Methodist
student working for a degree in
an accredited Methodist college
or university is eligible for a schol
arship or loan.
