MCOR Campaign
Success; 19 Youths
Participated
On November 1, 19 MYF’ers of
Zebulon Methodist Church launch
ed their annual “Treat or Treat”
campaign for the Methodist Com
mittee for Overseas Relief. Their
efforts produced $61.01, which
goes for food to feed the hungry,
medicine, orphan care, and to build
churches for Christ.
If you gave 50tf, it will buy milk
for a family of four for one month.
If you gave $1, it will feed a child
for 30 days. With the money the
MYF collected, it will provide
separately 30,505 glasses of milk;
it will prevent 488 people from
becoming sick with malaria; it will
provide vaccine to protect 6,100
people from tuberculosis; it will
provide penicillin to cure 1,220
people from the dread disease
yaws.
This campaign, as you can see,
ended in good results. However,
it would never have been possi
ble without the excellent response
of the townspeople in contributing
to this Overseas Relief Fund. For
those who were not called on, your
prayers can help just as much as
the money which will be sent.

Daniel Not Leaving
David Daniel, pastor of Zebulon
Baptist Church, will not be leav
ing the church for military duty
as was rumored this week.
The Rev. Mr. Daniel said he re
ceived a notice from his draft
hoard that he would be called in
a few days. The board had not
received any notification that he
had finished his seminary training
1 and thus put the young preacher
on the active induction list.
Daniel said he sent the board
1 a photostatic copy of the required
information and told the board
! he was not available.
So, Zebulon Baptist Church’s
! popular young minister who was
