Condemnation Suit
Is Now Pending
A condemnation suit is pending
in Wake County Superior Court
for proerty on which the Town of
Zebulon wishes to construct a mod
ern water supply system for tne
town.
The proposed water plant was
to be on property to be purchased
from Wilbur Bullock. The site is
located on the Wendell-Zebulon
bypass.
Bullock indicated in the begin
ning when contacted by the mayor
and commissioners about the site
that he was willing to sell the two
acre plot to the town for the erec
tion of the water plant.
. Now, however, Mayor Hales said
last week, Bullock has changed his
mind. Mayor Hales did not reveal
Bullock’s reasons for declining to
sell the property.
Preliminary surveys and topo

the property. Everything has
been done in readiness and prepa

plant.
The town engineer has made a
scale model of the plant, which
will be modern in every aspect
and which is planned with the fu

Bullock was to be paid approxi
mately $3,000 an acre for the land.
