Gay visited Mr. Gay’s brother-in-law, Buddie Brantley, who is very ill in Fay etteville Sunday. Mrs. Cora Haswell is seriously ill at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charlie Marshburn. Another daughter, and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Pearce of Buffaloe, N. Y., were called home. Lennie Williford is a patient at Wake Memorial Hospital, Raleigh. After the meeting Mrs. Varina Horton was presented a sugar and cream set in 1 silver by the circle members for ! her 38th anniversary, j Mrs. Lucy Mae Puryear of Mit chell’s Mill spent a while at the T. Y. Puryears, Sr. News of Zebulon Mrs. Pauline Tippett has returned i home after spending 10 days in Wake j Memorial Hospital. She was treated for a nerve condition and a duodenal ulcer. She is improving. • Edwin L. Tippett, quartermaster 3rd class, serving in the U. S. Navy, , spent the weekend with his parents, ' Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Tippett. _He ] has just returned from a five-month | cruise from South America and leaves I February 18 for a Caribbean cruise. Miss Mary Murphy was the week end guest of her family, Mr. and Mrs. I Thurman Tippett. She now resides , in Kalcigh. Before moving to the Capitol City she resided here.
