Excitement really begins when Hercules and Wilbur, 13-year-old bosom pals, arrive to spend the weekend with Hercules’s Aunt Mary and Uncle Bob, who has re cently taken a new job—that of an undertaker. See Wilbur and Hercules go into action as they attempt to solve the case as matters go from bad to worse. The boys escape with their necks but not before one of the wildest finishes ever. He said sales are no problem. Some of his furniture is sold lo cally, but the majority of it is bought by firms outside of Zebu Ion. Wrenn said smaller furniture manufacturers cause the larger manufacturing firms some concern. Smaller manufacturers will some times cut their prices in order to sell to customers. He, however, uses a little more selling power so as not to cut prices. Wrenn of Route 1, Zebulon, and the late Mr. Wrenn. He is one of five children of his father’s and mother’s second marriage. His father was a farmer. Both he and his wife are mem bers of Union Hope Baptist Church. He is active in church work, having taught Sunday School classes since he was six teen years old. He presently is as sistant teacher of the Young Peo ples Sunday School Class and is assistant Training Union director. For the past three years he has been Scoutmaster of the church’s Boy Scout Troop. This is one of his most loved diversions. He said his hobby is bird hunting and only recently went to Georgia with friends on a quail hunting trip. He belongs to no civic organi zations, saying he has never had ! time to join. A soft-spoken man of 33, Wrenn knows where he is going, what he is going to do, and has energy, initiative, and faith enough to ac complish his goals. One could say that he has already made a head start. VtfOnTirmanon Three Zebulon youngsters were among 12 who were confirmed in Catholic rites at St. Eugene’s Catholic Church in Wendell Sun day night, March 17. James Smith and Patty Smith, children of Thomas Smith, and Zahayia Kannon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kannon, all of Zebulon received the rites. Others receiving the rites were Billy Oak ley, Daniel McDade, Michael Man tych, Bernard Vollmer, Melelia Underhill, Annette Thomas, Jan Whitley, Nadine Gay and Patricia McDade. Catholic Bishop Vincent S. Wa ters of Raleigh performed the con firmation ceremony. He was as sisted by Fr. John Breunig, St. Eugene pastor; Fr. James C. Mc Sweeney of Raleigh, chancellor; Fr. Michael Carey, pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes of Raleigh; Fr. Robert Lawson, assistant pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes of Raleigh; and Fr. Charles O’Conner, pastor of St. Mary’s in Wilmington. Immediately following the cere mony Bishop Waters held a short instruction period for the youths, ranging in ages from 10 to 14 years. Each candidate had an adult sponsor present for the occasion.
