Marie Scarborough Crowned Miss Zebulon Friday Evening A petite and charming hazel eyed brunette was crowned Miss Zebulon, 1964 last Friday night in the second annual Jaycee-spon sored Miss Zebulon pageant. Miss Marie Scarborough, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Scarborough, emerged the winner among the five finalists that were selected from the eleven candi dates for the coveted title. For the talent division of the pageant, she modeled five cloth ing ensembles which she had sewn. A basic turquoise sheath dress was the first of the five designs she modeled. To this dress she added a jacket to make a suit, then re moving the jacket she added a full chiffon skirt to make a cocktail dress. She then removed the chif fon skirt and replaced it with a full-length evening skirt. Her fi nal outfit was a strapless bathing suit. Bercik, Walters are Runners-Up As the chairman of judging, Bobby McGee handed the judges decision to MC David Daniel, he commented, “The judges said it was mighty close.” For the sec ond consecutive year, Miss Pris cilla Bercik was named the first runner-up.
