Personal Notes Mrs. Jeanette Kotzum, sister of Mrs. Zollie Culpepper, died at her home last week in Brooklyn, N. Y. Burial was Sunday in the family plot in Richmond. Mrs. Culpepper was unable to attend her sister’s funeral rites. * R. E .Kitchings’ brother, Hasting W. Kitchens of Aiken, S. C. died recently. * Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Kitchings and SSgt. and Mrs. Bob Kitchings and children are vacationing at the beach. Mrs. R. E. Kitchings’ father re cently celebrated his 90th birth day. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Parrish and children of Maxton spent the weekend here with Mr. and Mrs. Howard Beck. Miss Suzanne Beck returned to Maxton with her uncle and aunt for a week’s visit, s Mrs. Ella Ray has been trans ferred to Rogers Rest Home in Wake Forest following hospitali zation at Wake Memorial after falling and breaking her hip. Moser had seen cousin Cy Folger. Cy and another cousin, Cecil Folger, stopped last week for a daylong last Wednesday. The three cousins and Mr. Moser had a delightful, reminiscent visit together. Cy is a retired Army veteran and Cecil lives in Cleve land, Ohio. Both are bachelors. * Mrs. Ethel Parker attended the funeral service of her sister-in law, Mrs. Clarence Collie of Wil mington. Funeral rites for the 73-year-old Wilmington resident were held Friday from Coble Orlando Funeral Chapel. She died suddenly of a stroke. Mrs. H. V. Andrews accompanied Mrs. Parker to the funeral. * The mother of Policeman Windell Perry, Mrs. Oscar Perry of Baltimore, has been visiting her son and daughter-in-law. * Mrs. Clara Daniel returned to her home in Virginia last week after a visit with her sister, Mrs. W. C. Campon, and Mr. Campen. * Mrs. Kenneth Maxwell and children, Beth and Ken, of Pink Hill were the week-long guests of her mother, Mrs. Mabel Ihrie. * The Rev. and Mrs. Pearce Lay field Jr. and children are vacation ing in the mountains of North Caro’ina this week. Mr. and Mrs. A. W. McKagan of Milwaukee, Wis., recently spent two weeks here with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Perry and children. Grandson Mike McKagan accompanied his grandparents home for a summer visit with them.
