Reidsville from the Baptist Church

WRECK VICTIMS '
The condition of five people
hospitalized as the result of an ac
cident in Clayton Monday is re
ported by Rex Hospital as being
unchanged.
The condition of Claude Dennis
is reported as still satisfactory.
The condition of his wife, Janie
Dennis, who suffered a fractured
right wrist and lacerations of the
face also remains satisfactory.
Bonnie Dennis, nine, hospitalized
with abrasions to the left side of
her face is still doing satisfactor
ily. Mrs. Etta Fulghum, Mrs. Den
nis’ mother, with lacerations of the
lip and contusions of the leg re
mains in satisfactory condition.
The condition of Mrs. Algier Wood,
80, grandmother of Mrs. Dennis,
is still “fair.” ^Mrs. Wood sus
tained a fracture of the left leg
and lacerations of the left eye.
The accident occurred at 5:15
p.m., Monday when a car driven
by Roy Atlee McGee of Clayton
made an improper turn in to the
path of the Dennis auto, heading
east on U. S. 70, according to Po
lice Officer James Moore of Clay
ton. Occupants of the car driven
by McGee were only scratched
and bruised.
Estimated damage to the 1962
Oldsmobile driven by Dennis was
estimated at $700, according to
Officer Moore. Damage to the
1955 Buick driven by McGee was
estimated at $500.
McGee has been charged with
making an “improper turn and
failing to see movement could be
made, causing an accident,” said
officer Moore.
Claude Dennis is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. L. R. Dennis of Wendell.
Mrs. Wood is the mother of Mrs.
Ed Andrews and Mrs. Fulghum is
her sister.
