LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Dear Sir:
I wish to commend the Zebulon
Record on two counts. The first
concerns the editorial stand of
your newspaper in the recent
school consolidation battle. Far
too many decided their stand on
this issue emotionally. They ra
tionalized their feelings to such
a high degree that their minds
were closed to reason. The time
will come when these same indi
viduals will say, “I didn’t realize,”
“I didn’t understand,” “I didn’t
know”—but they will be without
excuse because the facts were
brought clearly into focus by your
newspaper.
The second word of commenda
tion relates to the weekly inclusion
of an area church directory in the
Zebulon Record.” This fine serv
ice is one that has long been
needed in our area. A revised
schedule of the activities of this
church each Sunday is given be
low. I would appreciate these
changes being made in the direc
tory at your earliest convenience.
Sincerely,
, Roy H. McCormick
