Mr. and Mrs. Wilton Wall and Billy attended a birthday party in the home of Mrs. Ernie Wall of Corinth Sunday night, Mrs. i Wall was celebrating her husband, i Ernie’s birthday. I Miss Judy Bradshaw of Wendell and Miss Peggy Faueette were the Sunday afternoon guest of Misses Janet and Joan Faueette. Mr. and Mrs. Coy Driver and Mike attended the Boyette re union Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Clee Minten and children of Virginia visited his sister Mr. and Mrs. Valton Wilson and children. Mrs. Wilsons mother Mrs. Minten came also and spent the weekend. The Womans Auxiliary of Friendship Free Will Baptist Church met Friday night in the home of Mrs. J. Ralph Strickland with Mrs. Thyra Glover, Presi dent, presiding. There were 13 members present and four visitors. Mrs. Emma Maiden was in charge of the program with Mrs. Alma Strickland, Mrs. Lola Hinton and Mrs. Geneva Wilder taking part after which Mrs. Strickland assisted by her daughter, Judy served refreshments of assorted cookies, i potato chips, pimento cheese on ritz crackers, pickle and iced drinks. Jimmy Strickland of Kinston spent the Labor Day weekend with his parents and sister Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Strickland and Judy. Miss Teresa Wilder of Wendell spent the weekend with her aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Strickland and cousin Judy. All members of the Emit Com munity 4-H Club are urged to complete and turn in their record books at the next meeting which will be held September 16. Mr. A. D. Hinton has . returned home from Wake Memorial Hos pital. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wall and girls of Raleigh and Mr. and Mrs. Carmel Wall of Zebulon were the Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wilton Wall, Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Wall called in the afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Driver of Raleigh spent Saturday and Satur day night with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Driver and boys. Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Glover, Jr. motored to Charlotte to visit her sister during the Labor Day holi day. Emogene returned back home with them. Sisters Celebrate Birthdays Sunday Joyce Marie and Nancy Faye Privette, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Privette of Horton Street, celebrated their birthdays Sunday afternoon, September 1, at Zebulon Park. Joyce's birthday was on Wed nesday, September 4. She was five. Nancy is three today (Thurs day), September 5. Refreshments were decorated birthday cake, cup cakes, Cokes, potato chips, peanut butter party sandwiches and mints.
