Demands for-'Bubstantial . wage increases for nearly all classes of the 2,000,000 railroad employees have, been pend ing since late' last summer These demands, first presented at "different t,imes to the railroad administration's . board on wages and working condi tions, were unsettled when , govern ment operation .of. the railroads was ended, and . in turn were referred to the railroad labor board,' which-was created ;under the transportation act. . Some few of the classes of organ ized employees have not' passed for mal demands, but have insisted that their wages be increased if advanced . were granted other .related classes of workers. , The principal demands of the, leading unions-follow: ' . ' Trainmen and Conductors. - .
