Mrs. Lewis W. English of St. Louis,
who was Miss Laura Dula, daughter
of the late Sidney P. Dula of this
county and St. Louis, has been spend
ing the winter and spring with her
sistre, Mrs. Myra Gapen, at Green
ville, S. C. Mrs. Gapen has been
quite ill, but is rapidly recovering.
In June, after attending the marriage
of Mrs. Gapen's youngest son, Clar
ence, to Miss Lucy Thompson, at
Florence, S. C, Mrs. English and
Mrs. Gapen intend coming to Lenoir
and will (spend the summer at Blow
ing Rock.
