W. Clayton, a well known Cobb county farmer, living a short distance out of Atlanta, Ga. "We tried nearly everything trying to cure him an dhe went off to the springs, thinking maybe the water might help him, but it just looked like nothing would reach his trouble. Then he tried dieting and lived on liquid food until he almost starved, but even that failed to do him any good and he just kept going from bad to worse. "I don't guess there ever was a case as stubborn as his, and if there ever was a confirmed dyspeptic he was one of them, and I guess he would have been one yet if it hadn't been for this Tanlac. "The first we heard of this medi cine was when my father saw an ad vertisement in the papers from par ties he knew in Tennessee, who were friends of his and he knew what they said about it was the truth, so he got it right away an dbegan taking it. Well, sir, it acted just like magic everybody notices the change in fa ther. Why, he is just liqe a different I man and sits down to the table and eats like a farm-hand. Only yester day he ate pork and turnips for his dinner and ate so much we were ac tually afraid he was going to overdo the thing, but he laughed and said nothing hurt him now and that he was hungry and expected to eat and make up for lost time. "Now, when a medicine will do things like that I think people ought to know about it, and I want to say right now that I would not give one bottle of Tanlac for all the other medicines and health resorts in the country put together." PEACE RESOLUTION REPORTED OUT; PARTY LINES DRAWN By a straight party vote the House foreign tffairs committee re ported out last Friday the Porter peace resolution, providing for ter mination of the state of war between the United States and Germany and Austria-Hungary. Democratic mem bers of the committee opposed it and announced that their fight would be shifted to the floor of the House. Representative Mndell of Wyom ing, the Republican leader, informed the House that the resolution would be called up today (Thursday). Back ed 1)y the full Republican strength of the committee, leader declare it would be adopted probably that day, On the proposal to report the Por ter measure in place of the Knox resolution repealing the declaration of war, which has been passed bv the Senate, the Republican members of we committee voted solidly in the amrmative. The Democrats merely voted "present." Representative Flood of Virginia, ranking Democrat, was instructed by minority members to file a minority renorti Democratic lender aid there woald be almost full Darty vote FORD IS PRODUCING 4,000 CARS A DAY Present Production Is Greater Than for Same Period Last Year Ford is building ears at full speed. And, according to an official state ment from the factory at Detroit, the demand for Ford cars and trucks still exceeds the output, despite the fact that a new high level of production has been reached. By the first of May the figures rep resenting daily production were in the neighborhood of 4,000 a day, so the May schedule was set at 101,125 cars and trucks, not including the output of the Ford Canadian plant or any of the foreign assembling plants. The output, mounted daily. May 12th brought forth 4,092, the greatest number that has been pro duced in one day so far this year. Since the month has 25 working days present indications point to a new high record. A comparison of Ford production figures for 1920 and 1921 discloses the fact that for April, 1921, the out put was greater by 34,514 than for the corresponding month of a year aeo. The output for May, 1921, will probably overshadow May, 1920. be tween 15,000 and 20,000 cars and trucks. Approximately 43,000 men are at work in the Detroit plant of the Ford Motor Company. The factory is op erating on full time, says a days and three shifts a day. "We were never in a better con dition than we are right now," said Henry Ford recently. Detroit What Henry Ford Says About Machine Power Farming "In the tractor the farmer now has a machine in which is harnessed one of the most adaptable, efficient, economical sources of power in the world the internal combustion engine. "The tractor will multiply the productive capacity of each indi vidual farm worker from three to four times over. "It will put the fanner on a par with the city manufacturer. It will put his produce-producing; factory for that is what a farm is on to an efficient production basis. "It will enable each worked to earn so much more that he can be paid more and still leave a greater profit for the man who hires him. It will enable the farmer to work fewer hours in the day, giving him more time to enjoy life. "I believe the tractor will make farming what it ought to be the most pleasant, the most heauthfulfi the most profitable business on earth " RUFUS L.
