In. tended for publication, and all buitueea letlera ahonld ba adilraeeed toTaaOBr m. and not to IndlTldnal BMiaben of tlie tatf THURSDAY. February 9th, 1911 - There is a stead increase In mem berehiDto the Farmers Union of Nash county until the organization now has within its ranks several hun- dredof the county's sturdiest citi zenry who are taking a lively inter est in the erganization and material ly assisting in laying the foundation for the accomplishment of the object of the Union. From almost a hand ful of .men the membership has steadily increased in nearly every agricultural State in the Union until now thousands of farmers are stand ing shoulder to shoulder . with their fellow farmers in the great common cause. There is a great battle on wherein objects and principles of vital importance to the fanners are being waged for. A successful f rui tion of the hopes of the farmer is in no wise antagonistic or detrimental to any other claw of legitimate busi ness. The membership of the Union is deserving of encouragement and ' support by every man who numbers himself among that Class'; the recog nized Done ana sinew oi our com' mercial life. By propagating the welfare of the farmer all other class es of business receive their just re turn. The prosperity of the agri culturists of the South means the prosperity of the South and every class of business. Hence, it is but deserving that citizens, merchants, bankers and all other manufacturing interests lend every assistance and encouragement to. the FarmerB Union.' There should be no back ward step in the organization. Farm era should swell its membership and assist every way in adding to its in fluence and to the end of aceom pushing the principles sought. . Only a few more days are afforded for you to take advantage of the 50 cent coupon published elsewhere in The Graphic. The offer will be with' drawn at the expiration of the date named.. Editor The Graphic: Through the columns of The Graphic I wish to in a measure ex press my sincere appreciation of the kindness shown my mother and my self by Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Bone and their many neighbors and friends during the recent illness and death of mother. Their many acts of uni form kindness and courtesy has made a lasting impression upon me and will long be most kindly remembered Very Bincerely, S. S. Gay, A Deservimg Celerei Citizen One of Nashville's pioneer citizens is P.. A. Richardson, who for more than the past twenty years has con ducted a barber shop and as the town has advanced and its varied interests extended in scope, likewise has Richardson kept abreast of the wave and i today he is numbered among Nashville's progressive citi zena and has been an ornament to his race. No man in the town re- greats the success Richardson has attained ana it nas been through the patronage and esteem he is held that today he enjoys a lucrative bu siness in his line. , His shaving par. lor is an ornament to the town, hav ing recently been equipped with modern appliances and furnishings that would reflect credit upon, most any town m eastern North Carolina. Elsewhere in The Graphic he makes announcement to the public of his ability to meet the demands "of his patrons and assures them of the very best service of which he and his assistants are capable, , Old Soldier Tortured.
