Jurt at this time the Government . s thousands of r my trucks, trac- .0", trucks for road building, etc . ich are kvailable to road districts at marvelouslv low prices. Would it not be advisable , for the Road C mmfcsionera of Nashville Road District to Becure one or more of these trucks to use on the roads of 'this district for hauling and grading purposes rather than the use of mules? One of these trucks will haul more gravel a greater distance, do more grading and scraping than ten head of mules.' Distance would be a neRligible matter and the cost o' c ntruction would be greatly re duced and at theame time of more benefit to the roads, which are growing from bad to worse on ac count of the failure to apply gravel instead of the accumulated wash ings of nearby fields and water - drains.
