THB CONFERENCE. Resolutions Approving Unification ef Methodism. Methodist Hospital Report en the Advocate, v Gastonia, Nov." 24. Resolutions approving the unification of Method ism in the United States upon the tentative plan adopted by the General' Conference of the Methodist Episco pal Church South, at Oklahoma City, in 1914, were adopted here today by the Western North Carolina Confer ence of the Methcdist-Eplscopal Church, South. The committee appointed a car ago to look into the matter of estab lishing a Methodist hospital v.ithin the Conference recommended tVat the building of a hospital under the condition that it be located where a suitable hospital medical staff, a suitable site, at least $40,000 toward buildings and equipment to ultimate ly cost not less than $150,000, is se cured. The committee was continued with power to act. D. B. Coltrane read the report of the board of publication whffh re vealed the fact that the Conference publishing interests have been man aged with rare business care. Rev. H. M. Blair, the editor of The North Carolina Christian Advocate, and business manager of the publishing house in Greensboro, has been in charge of that work for 15 years and the financial statements for the year shows resources of $38,671.31 with a net earning for the year of $2,501 .HO despite the high price of printing material. When he took charge 15 years ago they bad no printing house and poorly equipped machinery. Now they are splendidly housed with a fine equipment of presses and other modern machinery. All tHis success is due to t He pru dent and wise judgment of Rev. H M. Blair who bos given the best of his life to this work of his Church. The Conference ' today heartily confirmed him editor for the 's'X' tcentb year. The sflpernumeraries and. superan nuate preachers were nil referred for the same relations, except J. Ii.t ar- penter and J. C. Richardson, . who" were referred for the superannuate relation. The names of Dr. W. W. Bays, Marvin Aull, T. S. Ellington, G. W. Callahan and AW M.
