The Durham Sun is the oldest ex
isting newspaper in Dutnam city or
county. Founded February 26. 1883.
The Sun is the only Durham publi
cation established before 1890 now
existing in Durham.
The Sun was acquired by the pres
ent owners in April. 1923. It ig now
the property of The Durham Sun,
