Noell Editor of The Courier made a - speech and several talks from the carriers.-o We want to thank Mn Noell for making us such "an encouraging speech we are always glad to get words of encouragement 'and glad to knojv when we please our pa trons. . v We have 16 carriers that belong to Person countv Association. " We also extend our thanks to, Mr. H. J. Whitt Roxboro Post Master for having such an elegant dinner prepared for the carriers, it was a grand treat to each of us, if could not have .been improved on. We also thank Mrs. J. W. Brooks for the nice Ice Cream ana caKe sne. gave to the carriers e enjoyed it to the fullest extent, we only wish we could get such treat - oftener.. When you want a real good dinner with a little notice Mrs. Jona Whin can fix it and gives you such vari eties we could not have asked for a better one than we got. Every thing passed off-smooth'and we had a jolly good time: Luther Pixley elected Pres., Tuggle O'Briant, V. Pres., J. W. 'Brooks Sec. and Treas., T. J. Montague and I. W. Brooks elected dele gates to the State Association which meets at Wilmingt n N- C. July 3rd and 4th, J. W. Chambers and Bailie Sauerfield Alternates. . Had two carriers to join,l N. H. Street of Mill Creek, D. E. Feath erston, of Leasburg. We hope to have our next meet ing about the same time next year and invite our patrons to be pres ent and give us .talks and speeches.
