Contract Let for Big Warehouse.
The contract has been given for
the new warehouse which is to be

ton and Winstead & Clayton, Mr.
Wilkerson of Durham being the
successful bidder. The house is
to be 112 feet wide by 200 feet

more floor space than any ware
house in this section and will be
built witH an eye single . to the
convenience of the farmer and his
stock. Mess. J. J. Winstead and
Harvey Clayton, we do not know
what the style of the firm will be,
have leased the house and will
open up With the opening of the
market, as the House is under con
tract to be completed in all of its
details by the first of September.
This will be the fourth ware-
house I or Roxboro. We . have
heard nothing for the past few

growth and in the city streets are
hot and dusty. Flowers' are with

things are disagreeable generally.
In the, churches of the city yester
day prayers were offered for rain

Those Dreadful Headaches are
So Unnecessary.
! More than three-fourths of the
annoying headaches that affect
the human race are due directly
or indirectly to defective or im
pared eyesigh.
f , We cure your headache by cor
recting these defects of vision
With scientifically ground and
properly fitted glasses. Dr. N.
Rosenstein, the eye specialist of
Durham will be in Roxboro June

Don't fail to see him in regard to
your eyes.
Death of Mrs. Oscar Bailey.
fMri. Oscar Bailey died at her
home near Bethel Hill last Friday.
Mi's Bailey had been seriously ill

She leaves a husband and five
children and a large number rela

death.
Raid on Old Booze.
Not by officers this time but by
some unknown party or parties.
On last Friday night the depot
was raided by thirsty ones and
ten or fifteen gallons of liquor
stolen. Up to this writing no clue
has been found as to who were the
depredadors. Nothing whatever
was tampered with save the liqour.
The same night doubtless the
same parties broke into the base
ment of the store of Mess. Moore
Bros. & Co., but nothing was miss
ed. The Reason Why.
The reason why our glasses give
relief to the eyes, is because we
know where and how to place
them.
It is our business. Make it
your business to see Dr. N. Ros
enstein of Durham, who will be
in Roxboro, June 2nd, stopping at
the Hotel Jones for the purpose
of examining eyes and fitting
glasses.

attend each and every service.-
