Austin was hostess at a delightful meeting of the Friday Afternoon Pleasure Club. The usual social diversion was en joyed, Mrs. A. S. deVlaming won first prize and Mrs. T. W. The Young People's Missionery society of the Alethodist church held an interesting meeting Sun day afternoon. Mrs. J. G. Aloore has recently taken this work in! charge, and it seems to have tak en on new life under her leader ship, as they are growing in num ber and in irite rest. The Person County chapter of ! the Daughters of the Confederacy held an interesting meeting Thurs day afternoon at the home of Mrs. W. E. Webb.
