It was decided by the board to have the Roxboro Township line surveyed. This is to be done in order to let the people who livs close to the line, find out defini tely in which township they in habit, in order that the proper taxes may be paid, there being a difference in taxes in Roxboro township and other. Mr. A. F. Brown was authorized to do the surveying. The regular road meeting will be held on the third Monday, February, 17th. This meeting was an usually short one, the board being in session less than two hours. NTION REPUBLICAN CONVE By order of the Republican Executive Committee, the Repub lican County Convention is here by called to meet in Roxboro on Saturday, February 26th, 1 )16 for the purpose of naming dele gates to the State Convention and District Conventions. The voters of the various town ships will maet at their, respec tive voting precincts on Saturday February 19th, 1916, for the pur pose oi naming delegates to the County Convention. This Feb. 5th, 1916. pd. J. T. Woody, Chairman Judge W. A. Devin of Oxford. presiding, and Solicitor Sam Gat tis prosecuting. Judge Devin's charge to the grand jury was one of the best heard in this county in sometime. The criminal docket will prob ably be completed some time to day. The civil docket will take up the remainder of the week. A full account of all cases will be published in next week's issue.
