the prodigy of the Monkey, and now
we are! confronted with the Giraffe,
who it teems, has gotten hit, by his
highness (in his cwn estimation)
and having reached his long neck

written to Dr. R. Y. Winter.*, plant'
breeding agronomist, asking infor
mation as to what crops to plant.
These men state that wher e they
planted (snapbeans, soybeans or
other bean crops and had to dust the.

"! And upon investigation,"- says

calcium arsenate. It is possible,
therefore, that a late ' planting of

ces. It is also possible to plant the

been given the cotton."
The inquiries have been more num
erous this year, think* Dr. Wintera,
on aocount of the poor seed used in
planting cotton and ' the resulting
bad stand*.
