I know not how that Calvary's cross A world of sin could free; I only know It's matchless love Has brought God's love to me! I know not how that Joseph's tomb Could solve death's mystery; I only know a living Christ. Our immortality! ? H. W. Harrington. o MERRY CHRISTMAS , It is always right and proper that Christmas should be a merry and happy day, for it is the day we eel ebrate as the birth of the Savior, but this time it is peculiarly well that we all be merry and happy, 'or indeed He who rules over all has been most generous with His people. Should we attempt to enumerate the many good things He has done for all of us during the year just closing we would find ourselves in the same fix as one who should attempt to count the sands of the sea. Depressed financially, spiritually and in all ways for the past few years we started the year 1933 with many misgivings, fearing for the worst, and it looked as If we were not to be mistaken in our fears. But what a glorious ending, every one happy because of the change in the affairs fo men, and with this change of public affairs came a change spiritually, for after all when we reason we have to con fess that evej-y good gift comes from Him who rules from above. DoubtJess during the year all did things which were not just right, said things whi?h should not have been said, and in many ways for got the command to "love thy neigh bor as thyself." Now at the Christ mas time it is right and proper to mend our ways, and If we have aught against our neighbor, forget it, and if a wrong has bfen done you, forgive it.- ? . LEND A HELPING HAND While times are wonderfully im proved, still there are some in our midst who have hot benefitted by this prosperity; and it was through no fault of theirs; they haw? been out of work for many, many months, or perhaps It was illness which pre vented their' providing for self apd family; in any event, there are nearly one hundred families in this good County to whom Santa Claus will pay no visit, unless some big hearted friend plays Santa. Oan you think of anything quite so sad to the little fellow who wakes up Christmas morning and goes to see what Santa has put in his stocking, to find it empty. He knows there is a Santa Claus, but he does not! know why Old Santa failed to re-' member him. You may think there! are many ways whereby you can help humanity which is more de-j ae**tag than sending Santa Claus to these little tots, but we do not. Their little heartA are much more tender than yours and mine, and to think that Santa would purpose ly forget them is more than their little hearts can bear. If you want to feel good, send something to All a, tot's stocking' Ctari^tmas morning, and If you want j to feel real good, take it nil I that sock with your own hands. Better than any doctor's prescrip tion you can get. o A Merry Christmas ut every one of you Is the wish of this office from the "old- man" down to the printers devlL LETTERS TO SANTA FROM THE KIDDIES i Tlmberlake, N. Day with eighteen points Bronchial Troubles Need Creomulsion 1 Persistent coughs and colds lead to ?erious trouble. You can stop them now with Creomulsion, an emulsified creosote that is pleasant to take. Creomulsion is a new medical discovery with two-fold ac tion; it soothes and heals the inflamed membranes and inhibits germ growth. Of all known drugs, creosote is recog nized by high medical authorities as one of the greatest healing agencies for per sistent coughs and colds and other forms of throat troubles. Creomulsion contains, in addition to creosote, other healing ele ments which soothe and heal the infected membranes and stop the irritation and in flammation, while the creosote goes on to the stomach, is absorbed into the blood, and attacks the seat of the trouble. Creomulsion is guaranteed satisfactory in the treatment of persistent coughs and colds, bronchial asthma, bronchitis, and is excellent for building up the system i after colds or flu. Your own druggist is ] authorized to refund your money on the spot if your cough or cold is not re lieved by Creomulsion.
