The new ruling on the pivot play, which was passed unanimously af ter a heated discussion, is expected to do away with a team's posting a tall player at the free throw line to take the ball from down court and then either turning and shooting or passing to a f?air>mate driving down the side of the court. lit the event of an infringement the ball will go out of bounds to the oppos ing team. The changed ruling on tne jump after a free throw provides that, after a successful free throw, the ball will be taken outside by the team scored upon. This rule does not apply on technical or double fouls. o In addition to the other legumes, every North Carolina farm ought to have at least one acre of alfalfa, proposed a prominent agricultural worker in piedmont Carolina last week.
