TAX DELINQUENTS Must "Come Across" or Suffer. ( ireensboro. Jan. 28. At the sheriff's office this week a con stant stream of tax payers have been taking advantage of the last few days in which delinquent taxes may be paid without the annoyance of advertising and leyini, which begins in a short tim . The office force is making a determined effort to (jet all possible taxes in before this time, for besides the large amount of work and trouble of making up these lists, they dislike ver" much to levy on the property of friends, which must he done un less taxes are in before March 5. Sheriff Jones states that there are many delinquents on the books now, and that unless these "come across" before March 15, property upon whidh taxes have not been paid will be advertised and sold as provided by law.
