Governor- Manning yesterday signed the bill pass ed' by the .1916 legislature re-enacting . tho South Carolina prohibtion law, thus, it was wd, removing all doubt as to the law's validity. The law was passed in, 1915 to become effective if approved by popular vote. This approval was given in Septemebr, 1915, but later the con stitutionality of the law was attacked because the state constitution " requires that all laws be enacted by the legisla ture. Gulf Coast Poultry Show. Mobile, Ala., Jan. 11. The Gulf Coast Poultry show, which opened here today, is one of the largest exhibitions of its kind to be held in the south this year.
